Remy Bonjasky “The Flying Gentleman” gets a medical treatment on his knee
Today at 11:30(local time Amsterdam), one of the better Dutch Orthopedical Surgeons, Bas Pijnenburg operated Remy Bonjasky’s left knee. Two days before the match against Alistair Overeem, Remy twisted his knee which left him with a tear in his meniscus.
In a 20 minute during surgery the Orthopedist fixed the tear and removed some scar tissue surrounding the meniscus.
After a few more hours Remy was released from the hospital Amstelland and he left the hospital on crutches.
Remy will start his rehabilitation process which will take approximately 4 to 6 weeks to recover fully.
The Flying Gentleman stated that he feels ok and is looking forward to the moment that he can train fully.
