Remy Bonjasky declared an Honorary Citizen of the city Almere
Dear Fans,

First of all Remy wants to start by giving each and everyone the best (sportive) wishes for the year 2009 !
Last year December 2008 Remy “The Flying Gentleman” Bonjasky succeeded in winning his third K-1 Grand Prix championship belt.

Now that the large amount of media attention such as interviews, talk shows, newspapers and magazines are diminishing it’s a good time for Remy “The Flying Gentleman” Bonjasky to review his year 2008.
Looking back at the year 2008 Remy “The Flying Gentleman” Bonjasky can only conclude that this year has been very successful. Remy has not lost a single fight in 2008 and with “a cherry on top” of this result Remy reclaimed the champions belt, in the most prestigious martial art tournament the K-1 Grand Prix.

Remy “The Flying Gentleman” Bonjasky would like to give special thanks to his Teammembers;
Trainer Ivan Hippolyte for his training methods, which resulted in Remy only losing one’s since they have started working together.
Trainer Eric Warmderdam who is responsible for the progress in Remy’s boxing skills. Manager Charles Heus who makes sure everything is well organized and keeps Bonjasky focused in interviews. Last but not least Terrence Wong who is responsible for the webpage.

When Remy was asked to give his opinion about the controversial acts of his opponent during the final fight Remy firmly answered that this moment must quickly be forgotten.

As already said the year 2008 has been a very good year for Remy “The Flying Gentleman Bonjasky and Remy and the Team Bonjasky will do everything in their power to continue the successes and try to push the envelope even further in 2009 and the other years to come.

With the New Year just started and no fights fought yet Remy "The Flying Gentleman" Bonjasky already had an great result and a extraordinary accomplishment. Remy “The Flying Gentleman” Bonjasky received the Medal of Honor from the sports ALDERMAN Arno Visser, who represents the municipality of Almere. By receiving this Medal Remy became an Honorary Citizen of his city Almere. Bonjasky is very proud of his title and again it shows the appreciation for Martial arts is rising in every level of society and furthermore that Remy “The Flying Gentleman” Bonjasky is a great ambassador for his sport.
