Recap on the year 2007
Dear readers and fans,
Remy would like to start by wishing everyone the very best (sportive) wishes for the new year 2008.
Looking back at the year 2007 Remy can say he is quite satisfied with his fighting results.
Remy did not won the 2007 K-1 Grand Prix Final. But looking at the circumstances, in what has been a very turbulent year for Remy,
it was already a very good result that Remy managed to qualify for the K-1 Final Grand Prix in 2007.
In the K-1 Grand Final Remy won from Badr "The Bad Boy" Hari and lost in the quarter final by points from Peter "The Lumberjack" Aerts.
After the K-1 Grand final, Remy had a few weeks of rest from his training scheme, nevertheless Remy was always busy with his sport thaiboxing.
In the weeks where Remy did not train he was busy giving seminars and workshop all over Europe.
During this seminars Remy shared his techniques and knowledge. Remy also supported local dojo's and off course Remy promoted the sport.
On Friday the 25th of January Remy gave two seminars in Pedja's Kimekai Gym, located in IJburg. The thaiboxing lessons are normally given by the sensei Pedja Djurdjevic.
Remy started the first session with young children from up until about 10 years old.
Working with small children is always a pleasant thing to do according to Remy. Children are so well willing to learn,
full of surprises and off course filled with lots of energy.
Remy started the lesson by greeting the class and explained that they first would start with a warming up,
Remy could not even finish his sentence because the class spontaneously began running laps in the gym.
Talk about enthusiasm and energy! The whole seminar went as it started with the children listening well to Remy and executing every exercise with lots of enthusiasm.
After the children it was up to the teenagers and adults to show their skills, and again in this seminar there was a lot of enthusiasm,
and carefully listing ears capturing every sentence Remy pronounced in the dojo. Remy ended the seminar by telling the class he saw some
really good thaiboxing and some things that need some adjustment.
Remy also told the class to continue training very hard and maybe one of them could become a champion in the nearby future.
