The 3th edition of Slamm
Sunday the 6th of May I had the honor too be invited too the 3th edition of Slamm. SLamm an event where one of the hardest Thai Muay Thai fighters compete against the Dutch top notch fighters, mixed with a few top notch MMA bouts. At this 3th Slamm edition there even was a bonus super bout between Joeri mess and the K-1 max fighter Andy Souwer.
The location of this event was the Haarlem sport dome.
The place was fully packed with excited fans, and the scene of action was cheerfully decorated.
Awaited what was about to come the night first started with a few B and C class fights. (Seeing this B and C class fights again showed Netherland still produces a lot of skilled and talented fighters, and Netherland can be assured of many great fighters in the near future.
The first Thai fight against a Dutch fighter was fought by Jimmy Eimers vs Hasnuk Wor Petchpun. The fight was spectacular from the first gong. The two fighters really wanted to show what they where capable of. After a smashing first round by both fighters Jimmy Eimers won by way of knock out in the 2nd round.
After this fight 6 more fights with Thai fighters against Dutch fighters followed, with one fight even more spectacular than the other fight. It was a pleasure for my eyes, all the way.
I can honestly say that each fight on this night was charismatic, on the one hand and technically fought on the other hand being very hard. At my point of view the best fights was fought between Jouri Mess and Andy Souwer. Joeri fought well and observed ,but Andy set a good pace, with kicking and punching combinations and hit home well and won the match on points. (Congratulations to both fighters who showed a good fight.)
Looking back at this event I had a great time, and I am thanking the Slamm staff for the invitation and off course I am looking forward to Slamm 4.
