Interview Remy
1) Remy in the Grand Prix 2006 you left the tournament with a terrible injury, how did you physically and mentally recover from the fight, against Stefan Leko ?

I recovered well, in the beginning I had a lot of pain in my crotch and walking was very painful. But it's all behind me now.

2) How do you look back at the 2006 Grand Prix ?

I have mixed feelings. I started well in 2006; I was back on track, unfortunately 2006 did not ended well.

3) Your next fight is against Glaube Feitosa. Glaube was on of the favorites to win the 2006 Grand Prix, what's your opinion about this fighter?

Glaube is a good fighter, and the last years Glaube has really developed himself. He is a strong all round fighter, with excellent kicking techniques and that's what I am up against.

4) You point out that Glaube has excellent kicking techniques, we all remember the axe kick Glaube made in the match vs Gary Goodridge, are you specially training for Glaube his kicking techniques?

NO I'm not specially training for his techniques. I'm fully aware of the skills from Glaube. But I always focus to win my matches using my own strengths, rather than to focus too much on the opponent.

5) Your trademark is the flying knee, but if we look at your last fight we see a lot more standing knees. Is the standing knee something u picked up from the new trainer Hippolyte ?

The standing knee has always been part of my techniques. The reason why I have not made the flying knee as much as I did before is simply because the opportunity was not there. The flying knee should be timed very well, and should only be made if you are 100% sure you will hit your opponent, otherwise you will just land on the jury table……

6) And Finally, Remy whats your prediction for your fight against Glaube Feitoso?

I'm definitely going to win, of course in this sport nothing is certain, everything can happen. But under normal circumstances I should win, I'm just not sure in which round yet.
